Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Monitor and inspect all building systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, lifts, and swimming pools.
- Team Management: Supervise daily tasks, evaluate performances, and manage shift rosters for the engineering team.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Develop and execute PM programs to minimize equipment downtime and reduce major breakdown costs.
- Budget & Energy Control: Track spare parts inventory, monitor operational expenses, and audit energy consumption to reduce utility waste.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the hotel strictly complies with local safety laws, fire regulations, and environmental standards.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or high vocational certificate (Diploma) in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience: 2–5 years of engineering experience in the hospitality industry, with proven experience in a supervisory or team-leading role.
- Hard Skills: Competency in building management systems (BMS), preventative maintenance software, and technical blueprint reading.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, practical problem-solving under pressure, and good English communication skills for international hotel chains.
