Job Summary :
A Material Master Data Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and governing material master data in SAP systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance across Procurement, Planning, Production, Warehouse, Finance, and Sales.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Material Master Data and Creation in SAP
● Create and maintain material master records
● Maintain key material fields such as: type, plant, unit of measure, STD price and others.
● Extend materials to new plants, company codes, storage locations when required. - Data Quality Control & Governance
● Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of material master data.
● Validate material master requests against :
- Standard naming conventions
- Material classification rules
- Duplicate checks / similar materials
- Correct UoM and conversion
● Maintain master data governance rules and ensure compliance with SOP
- Reporting, Monitoring & Data Support
● Prepare reports and data consolidation on master data performance and others report upon request
● Support internal/external parties related to master data accuracy and traceability. - Cross-Functional Coordination (internal and across units / global)
● Work closely with all related departments
● Act as the key contact person for master data-related issues. (Global Costing, COUPA, H4 Hana) - System & Process Support
● Support SAP upgrades, migration, and master data conversion
● I participate in UAT testing for master data changes.
● Maintain documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.
Job Specifications :
● Bachelor’s degree in sciences, Finance or Accounting.
● 5 years of relevant work experience.
● Knowledge in SAP or experience working with other ERP systems.
● Good interpersonal and communication skills.
● Understanding of Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, Warehouse, and Production Planning processes.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
● Intermediate level of English proficiency (both spoken and written).
